My Testimony
God allowed me to be born into a Christian home, and when I was 12, I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and was baptized. As a child, I had always been interested in missions, and my parents have always supported my love for missions. I was able to go on several mission trips growing up that opened my eyes to the need for the gospel all over the world. Since I was young, I wanted to use education in some format on the mission field. I genuinely love teaching, and I am passionate about missions. I knew that education experience would be helpful on the mission field, but I had no idea what God would do with those desires. In 2019, I graduated from Bob Jones University with a degree in Elementary Education.
Bay Baptist Academy
Jeremy and Bekah Hall are veteran church planting missionaries. One of the problems they encountered while training men and women for ministry was that most people in the townships, even though they speak English, cannot read well because of their poor education system. It is hard to teach people to follow a Book they cannot even read for themselves. They have had to teach many of the people there how to read before they can teach them how to lead and preach. Therefore, they have started Bay Baptist Academy to give the children in the churches the ability to have an education from a Biblical worldview, but also give each child the ability to have a close walk with the Lord through their ability to read His Word. There are about 50 students and only 6 classroom teachers. The school is growing and in desperate need of more teachers.
Other Opportunities
Camp Rhino
Mark and Amy Coffey started Camp Rhino. Camp runs during the winter (June) and summer (December-January) months. Just like any Christian camp, these weeks are packed full of preaching and fun. Many of the young people in the ministry accepted Jesus during a week of camp.
Rhino Youth Home
Mark and Amy Coffey started the Rhino Youth Home for any orphaned or neglected young people that want to come. They have the opportunity to live in a safe, Christian home and be discipled. There are currently two girls and four boys.
South Africa Media Project
Josh and Megan Sullivan started the SAMP ministry, so that more people can hear and see the messages being preached via social media.
Bay Baptist College
Kevin and Corli Hall started the Bible college for those who want to further their ministry training and biblical knowledge. There are currently 17 students attending.
